LVP FAQS
Let Lions Floor answer all of your LVP flooring FAQs today!
With its flexible properties, luxury vinyl plank (LVP) can cater to a diverse range of residential and commercial customers. The product has a fiberglass-reinforced structure and delivers dimensional stability that yields high traffic tolerance. As a glue-down product, contractors and property management firms prefer it for use in multifamily complexes due to its durability and easy repairability, as a single plank can be lifted and replaced if damaged. Its ability to withstand heavy rolling loads, such as wheelchairs and tenants moving in and out, makes it an ideal flooring option for such complexes. Additionally, it is suitable for use in light commercial settings like strip malls and single-family homes. LVP can easily be made to replicate the look and feel of hardwood flooring at half the cost. You may also hear the term LVT. This stands for Luxury vinyl tile—the same product.
Office chairs in a commercial or a home office setting are constantly rolling in a confined area at desks. When glued properly, the glue-down planks will not move or come loose. The problem is constant rolling on the urethane finish will dull the finish. Dust and contaminants on the floor and any fine grit embedded on the wheels of the chairs work like fine sandpaper and will cause damage. Use chair pads in the desk area where the chairs will be rolling is required.
